" The football was , disappointing throughout, Kay being the only man on the tourists’ side to display from. He shot a brilliant goal from an impossible angle after a corner kick. Ives on the wing played well, but many of his kicks lacked direction, and , hjs centres often would go behind the pet. Groves scored New- Zealand’s second goal from a scrimmage in front; \ The Metropolis was r.ot the best team on the night; .and they had rather a lucky victory.
