AUCKLAND BOUT DRAWN. PATTERSON AND WALKER. AUCKLAND, June 19. There was a very strenuous wrestling : contest to-night, when Jack Patterson, of America, drew with George AValker, New Zealand and Britisli Empire champion, at the end of eight rounds. Each man gained one fall, Patterson getting the first- with a press, after lifting his opponent' and dumping him heavily. AA'alker evened in the next round with a slam, following an aeroplane spin. Patterson put up an unexpectedly fine resistance', especially in the final round, wlieu he was almost continuously fastened in , hartimerlocks. He was obviously, in great difficulties, but he refrained from f submission until the gong saved him.
