AsTREA ARRIVES AT DARWIN. (Australian Press Association). DARWIN, June 19. The aeroplane Astrea refuelled this forenoon at Bathurst Island. She took off <at four p.m. and arrived in Darwin at 5.5 p.m. local time, xiie plane made a splendid landing, and she received a very cordial welcome from a large crowd. Father Gsell of the Bathurst Island Catholic native mission station, was ejboard. Ho immensely enjoyed his first flight. Major Brackley, who was the most courteous to everybody, paid a tribute to Father Gisell’s goodness, saying that he had been a very good friend, and that he (Major Brackley) was glad to have him on the trip.
