WESTLAND SUB-UNION MEETING. DITTMAN SHIELD MATCH. - H The Westland Rugby Sub-Union , met last evening, there being present Messrs J. C. Stafford (president), F. McGregor, E. .McDonald, R. A. Bell, A. C«tbu s h, J. L. Menzies, A. Thompson,' J. A. McCollum; J. McCie. ry, D. R. Dowell and E. W. Heenan.

Referees’ report, on last (Saturday’s matches were '.approved. The West Coast Union- advised that it would play the match with the SabUnion for the Dittman Shield at Greymouth next Saturday. Hilt was decided that the ambulance officer accompany the team to Greymouth.

The'M.a,tainui southern division wrote asking for a. ruling regarding district boundaries, and also certain players. The secretary was instructed to supply information. A! letter was received from Mr S. Baii-d regarding the standing down of players in the High School team.

R, Devaney corch. ... ; , It was decided that the names ,of J, ■McClearv and A. Cutbush be'submitted to the West Coast Union for reference to the New Zealand Union as referees. The following* junior matches for Saturday were approved ; —Ross .v. Kpkatahi, at Kokatahi (>M. Wallace) ; Pirates v. lExcelsior, at Hokitika ■ (JRutland),; Kiwi and School each a bye.
