An intense anti-cyclone covers Australia and extends towards southern New Zealand, but the' pressure rem alius . low to the eastward, and a rather shallow cyclone is developing in the north Tasman Sea. A continuance of southerly or south-easterly weather is indicated. The forecast if, for light to moderate and, variable winds, with easter. lies prevailing. Weather fair to fine but with increasing cloude. Temperatures cold, with some hard frosts. Seas smooth to moderate.
