RECENT ELECTION INCIDENT. ' OFFENCE WHILE UNDER LIQUOR. (Per Press Association—Copyright) i AUCKLAND, June 19. • Cha|vle s ‘Henry Thomas, aged 26, who while drunk, voted twice during the recent hospital board poll at Waihi, .appeared for sentence today. It w'as stated that he had been bom a good character.' He took little interest in polities',"and, thorgh lie admitted having voted twice, he did not remember the second time, which was about six o’clock at night. His Honour, Mr Justice Reed, admitted him to probation for two year's, and ordered him to pay the cost© of the prosecution and take out a prohibition order.
