MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of t-lie West Coast Herd Testing Association held at Greymouth the annual report and balance sheet were adopted. ' Tlie question of a retaining fee for members not testing was adjourned for a year. • . : ■ u

Smith (Koitorangi) 34 343.64—268. E. Cooke (Kumara Junction) 7—388.42—275. Best cow in Association —J. Mulcare’s Tcpsy, . 12yr. old, 708.0 fat in-296 days (winner Farmers’ Cup). Cows over 500—J. Monk and F. Jacobs (two each), D. J. Smith, H. Hill, M. Minehan, J.. Mulcare, Captain Whitmore, A. Doig, D. Gallagher, F. C. Watts, Mrs Methven, P. Hucas, T. Mcßride, Smith Bros, (one each). Total 16. Cows over 400— 175; cows over 300—1174. Captain Whitmore—l7 two-year heifers, average fat 279 in 244 day G ; his best heifer 37<) fat in 282 days. E. Jacobs —8 two-year heifers, average fat 295 in 258 days. Qualified two-year-olds (over 2501b5.), 125; three-year-olds (over 2751b5.), 210. Association average.—l2B herds, 3.964 cows, 252.19 fat-, 234 days. It was decided to ask testers who are organising group, to have all their organising done by August of each year,, in order to ha vie a report ready fort/the August meeting of the executive.
■i. On «a. vote being taken .it was unonimouply decided tliat the shield and cup competitions be continued. It Was decided that the testing! season be extended to June 30, from May 31.
