The following prisoners were sentenced: James Robert Stanley Sutherland, breaking, entering, and theft by night, two years’ reformative. Charles George Albany Wyber, 17, escaping from custody at Balclutha, and .William John Jardine, 20, charged with aiding Wyber to escape, were both admitted to' three years’ probation. Wyber was arrested on a charge of obscene language;and whilethe constable was absent, Jardine unbolted the lockup door enabling. the other to escape.
