The Full Court"'ta-day restored to the roll of solicftorty Thomas Ernest Rote, a prominentricittany 'whose name was 'removed ’ froth the roll thirty-eight years -ago, after a conviction for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in a notable divorce suit, in which concocted evidence of misconduct was brought against -Mrs Alary Butler. The Chief Justice said the court exonveated Air Rofe from any suggestion that he was a party to the preparation of concocted evidence. -Air (Rofe, .at that time, was at a disadvanage, because there was not a -court of criminal appeal. He is 64 years of age to-day. He declared it the finest birthday gift he bad ever received.
