POLICE ATTACKED
, BY AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINES. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, June 14. A message from Bulo]o states that Patrolman Mack and a, party of New Guinea police, who have been pursuing escaped prisoners, were attacked by other natives. The latter had already lulled the escapees and thought that t.hei police were a punitive expedition to avenge this crime. They were wonted and given a sharp ■fesßon, although during the scrimmage four (arrows struck Patrolman Mack, and a police boy was hit. The wounds were not serious.
