ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, June 14. At to-day’s Addington sale store sheep included a splendid ollering oi hoggets for which theie was Keen competition, nuiny : soutliern buyers being ill attendance. All Jots sold at a good increase on late rates. Compet.Lion was more elastic for breeding ewes of which there was a full yarding. Mutton Values increased, especially for heavy weight ewes, and wethers also showed an improvement.
The market was firm throughout. Fat lanibs were more numerous, including drafts of very prime lambs. Values itior#ised up to 2s- Gd per head, extra heavy prime lanibs to 20s Id, prime heavy 15s Gd to 18s, - medium 13s to 15s, plain from 10s, light, unfinished from 7s (id.
There was' a very heavy yarding ol beef. Considering the size of "the yarding the, Clearance was very good. Well finished lots met keen competition. The best prime heavy bullocks made £ll 2s Gd, prime £7 LGs to. £3 15s, medium £5 os to £0 Gs, light from £3 10s, heavy cows to £6 7s Gel, prime £4 to £5, medium £2 15s to £3 ss, inferior from 27s (id. Fat pigs were less numerous, pork' ers selling at late rates. Baconers were firmer.
