Both trail o have had otherwise an unbeaten record, and should be -able to give their best in the.final effort. The game is engaging- much interest, ir.d there will probably be a good number travelling to Ross on Saturday to view, the contest which should p ovo of decided interest. In last Saturday’s game playing 'at full strength, with Staines making his first appearance of the season, showed decided advantage against Pirates, and their play gave, every satisfaction to their supporters, the team playing well together. Ross : on the No 2 eround, with almost their full ’’strength, in the field found it quite difficult enough to stall off the,,attacks of the Kiwi j team, and. in. their three, poirt, victory did not have a great deal to spare in their <piceess. On Saturday they will be playing on their home ground, which is always, a certain advantage, but they will have to show to much better .advantage if they are to lower the Excelsior colours again. With both’teams in good, condition, the heavy nets of forwards should put up a great struggle, while .the ndvan* tr.ge cf the Excelsior backs should add that finish that should spell .victory. The Wallabies, playing thirteen men after the interval, not only defended finely, but attacked magnificiently, but the handicap was too great. Pretoria won just on time.
