DEBUTANTES’ BALL.

The feature ball of the season ns a benefit to the Racing Club, at the Soldiers' Hall on June 28, promises to bo a special night for the ladies. About a score of debutantes will be presented to the Mayoress, Mrs G. A. Perry, who will have other ladies and gentlemen on the dias with her. It should be a brilliant spectacle. The debutantes will attend a rehearsal on the 26th i list, when Mrs W. Staveley, who will direct the ceremonial, will be present. On the night of the ball the debutantes will be asked to be in their special dressing room by 8.30, when the ball opens. The Mayoress will arrive at 9 o'clock and be received by the .officials, At 9.2 o’clock, as soon as the official party is seated the debutantes will enter the ballroom, and the presentation will take place immediately. As soon as a photograph is taken,, the debutantes and their partners will dance, they only taking part in the first dance a’’ter the presentation. At the ball there will be two orchestras so as to supply continuous music and there should not be a dull moment.’ Admission charges are at a.reasonable rate and there should be no doubt about a buinner attendance being present, for the deserving object.
