YACHT ASHORE

WITH NOBODY ON BOARD. r'rtPer United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 30. Mystery surrounds the discovery at eight o’clock last night of a 26 foot keel yacht, Cynthia, .which came ashore at Devonport with her jib set, but nobody on- board.

The yacht is owned by Harold Edwin Lament, an orchardist, of Silverdale. He has been cruising near Auckland by himself, but ‘it is understood that ho was seen in .the city on Saturday.

When found the yacht had a stretcher, food, cooking, utensils, also a man’s coat, containing :ai watch still going. There were also two anchors on board, hut no sign of a dinghy. It is 'feared that Lamont fell overboard.
