Assuming that the directors were correct in accepting the small attendance of. shareholders present as an •SfTJSjn'MeWce; iCftlie ’ direcT torate lie trusted that the same amount- of. eftuh<|epce »• would.■; he r;di ; s-. played, in a practical’manner out the : ipresent year: in that- every, shareholder '(despite the h'ard times) would endeavour to use as much lime as possible. If—they * could • only use one truck they ’ wo'uld ■ lie'-'helping the Company by using it and at it was by no means a. one sided deal, as they thornsely.es would benefit equally as much if not more ,so tlnjn the Company. Matters: were in such a. satisfactory condition at the works that orders from one hag to 1000 tons could he dealt with comfortably.
When even the erroneous statement, appearing in the press re-the Company going into liquidation ligd not been sufficient to startle shareholders it could be accepted as -a fact that the Company’s affairs were in a very sound position.
