i !AUC) ALAND, 3!ay 29. i |( 4 7 *’ RcbprJj William Campbell, 37-, described a&dhkA'Wentdr, and Mary Gamp-, ; boll, l‘l9, r 'his-i wi-fe; were charged at the police court to-day, that with intent to procure a. mi*carriage, they did unlawfully use an instniment or other means, on Edna Edith Fulcher, 24, who died in the Tluimarunui Hospital on April*23.
Lengthy evidence was given this morning by Bernard Francis Bland, of Olmra, who accompanied the girl to Auckland, and. later saw her at a house. He said, inter alia, that on requesting a more comfortable room for the girl he was told that the other rooms were occupied hut some -of the other girls might dig .goingout that ni'gfit. -He (met- both accused, who were introduced tq. him. as .
