CHINESE PIRATES
AUDACIOUS RAID ON VESSEL. ESCAPE AFTER LOOTING SHIP! (United Press Associatioii-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). HONG KONG, May 27. Audacious piracy, almost within British waters, occurred last night, when flour teen armed pirates overpowered the officers .of a steamer named the Prominent. After shooting the master, Captain Jensen, in the le" they threw the. second officer off the bridge to the deck below. Then they steered the ship to Buts Bay. After looting the vessel, they escaped in the lifeboats' to Ping Shan Island, with their booty. A police launch pursued the pirates for some distance, but the fiist and second officers of the Prominent were used as shields against the police fire. The Prominent is a rice carrier boHong Kong and Saigon.
