NAVAL DIVISION

CRUISE TO THE ISLANDS. AUCKLAND, May 24. A cruise to the islands of the western Pacific, inchujing t]hc New Hebrides and New Caledonia, will be made next month by the cruiser. Dunedin, flagship of the New Zealand Division. The cruiser will sail from Auckland on Juno 15.

The two sloops, Veronica and .Laburnum,' commanded respectively by Captain Jackson and Commander R, Rainsbotham, will also leave Auckland about flic middle of June for island cruises. However, their programmes have not bee nnnnouncod. When the Dunedin returns she will probably carry out a programme of exercises and manoeuvres with the Diomode, which has now withdrawn for refit, but which is expected to recommission in August.
