The police hoarded the Gabriella immediately upon her arrival and arrested a stowaway who was discovered after the freighter had left New Zealand. EARTHQUAKES IN N.S.W. (Received May 27 at 10.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 26. ■Severe earth tremors were experienced at Lilhgow, Portland and surrounding districts yesterday. The rumbles continued for almost a minute. Crockery, and windows were broken, and walls were cracked, but nobody was hurt.
