FOREST FIRES
HUNDREDS TRAPPED BY FLAMES (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) TOIvIO, May 26. There have been forest fires fanned by strong widis, raging on the Island of Saghalien north of Japan for three days without abating. The fires are sweeping immense areas, involving many villages. Hundreds of people have been trapped and surrounded by the flames. It is feared that there will fie a heavy deathroll.
