MILK TRADE
CONFERENCE AT AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) AUCKLAND, May 2C. At a meeting to-day of representatives of all interested in the city milk supply tluj Mayor. .(Mr Hutchison), presiding, it was decided, to appoint a committee to investigate conditions of the milk trade in Auckland, and to frame machinery for the institution of a- milk council which would govern the milk and cream trades in -the metropolitan area, and report back to a further conference.
In opening the conference the Mayor Said that the position was so acute that failure to reach an agreement would be disastrous to the milk industry.
