IMPROVED PRICES,

Owing in some cases to decreased offerings, prices for live stock at Addington to-day mostly showed some improvement.

Best, heavy lambs sold to 18s 4d, prime heavy. 14s 3d to 18s fid, prime 12s to 14s, .medium 10s to lls; 9d, light from ~7s 6d. Under three hundred head of beef were yarded, chiefly cows and heifers. Owing to the" shorter, entry, values hardened, from 30s to.. 50s per head on best .quality. Other grades met- a better s'-'le also. Rest bullocks sold to £lO 2s fid,. medium £5 10s to £8 os, light £3 os to £5, inferior from £2 ss. Extra heavy heifers sold to £8 2s fid, medium £5 4s to £6 15s, light from £2. Heavy cows sold to £7 7s fid. medium £4 10s to £6, light from £2. There, was a medium yarding of fat. pigs. Porkers were easier. Baconers were steady.
