CHRISTCHURCH, May 25

An incident at the Phoenex Hotel on March 26, when a glass wa s thrown afc a former freezing works employee by a free labourer, had its sequel, this morning , when Alfred Rah . Edgerton, 28 years of age, "was fined £3 for assaulting Stanley Alexander" Coleman. ‘•Thig young man is fortunate, that he is not charged with a more serious offence,” stated . Sub-lnspctor Edwards. The Magistrate (Mr E. D. Mosley), said: “I am satisfied that, the trouble, arose, through the action of free labourers. Usually it is the other, side, but in this© case the free labourers were the aggressor .from start' to finish.
