ASHLEY REED HURT MELBOURNE, May 24

Four horses engaged in the- Novice Handicap at Mentane to-day fell.. All were uninjured., The only jockey to be injured was A. Reed, rider of Dooen, who was hurt -nr the back, substaining abrasions and shock. He was taken to hospital.
