Advantage will be taken of the presence of the sheep breeders attending the annual‘Conference which' is to be held* at Massey CoUege, to hold a special meeting at Palmerston XOrth next week to dismiss a future programme of wool research and (breeding developments insofar as the North Island problem is concerned. It is anticipated that the act-ing-M'inister of Scientific and Industiial Research', Mi' lt'-iisom and the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Macmillan, wif address the meeting. The wool growers are ‘desirous of going fully into the question of whatmeasures can be taken to improve the present position in regard to the industry, and this jonfei’enee of North Island breeders i s it'elided to stimulate ■interest i n wool production, and perhaps to inaugurate me cures designed to improve the present situation.
