At the Stadium, in a bout for the lightweight championship of the British Empire, A 1 Foreman (challenger) gained the verdict on a foul iii the third round from Jimmy Kelso (titleholder); The latter made a demonsirav>jun when Foreman fell, aPP ar ‘ ,T| tly hit below the belt, and officials and police were compelled to enter the ring to 'restrain Kelso who was menacing Foreman’s seconds. The crowd violently hooted Foreman.
In a flyweight championship bout, Wally Walker defeated “Midget” Brodie in* the ninth round, when the contest was stopped.
