Great interest was manifested in the trade • ship from- Australia, which arrived at Batavia to-day.
A formal welcome by Government officials and lending business men was followed by yi-its from hundreds of the public. , During the morning, Messrs S. Anderson (loader) and Tonkin (Commonwealth representative) visited Idle Gov-ernor-General, and presented an official message from the Governor-General of Australia Sir Isaac Isaacs. .
In the afternoon more than 000 guests- inspected the exhibits. There are many head offices of com-: mer<?ial firms here which may make dy-V cisions regarding new orders and agencies.
