Tire death is aiinodnced at Melbourne of Mr A. AY. Dunlop, the former Australian Davis Cup player. He died after a brief illness, which followed a chill. Air Dunlop . was in his fifty-ninth year, and, although it was 33 years since he won his first important championship—that of New Zealand, where he was born —he was still an ardent follower of the game, arid had played tournament matches as recently as March, when lie partnered one of his sons in the fathers and sons’ doubles, and.competed in the veterans’ singles in the Melbourne Cricket Club autumn tournament.
