IMPERIAL CRICKET CONFERENCE
LONDON, May 10. At the annual meeting of the .Wiltshire County Cricket Club, ’ held at Trawbridge, Sir Francis Lacey, formerly secretary of the .Marylebone Cricket Club: made reference to body-line bowling howling. ‘‘Much feeling,” he said, “has been stirred up by the cablegram from Australia. objecting to what is called bodvline bowling. For the last 30 years the Marylebone Cricket Club has organises these test games end spent enormous sums in sending teams all over the world. It may surprise you to know that sometimes they were £BOO out of pocket.
“Tf these visits are to cause bickering and bad blood, then I think it would be better to discontinue them for the time being, at any rate. I believe the Marylebone Cricket Club will take up the matter. <r o into it very care'u!ly, and call an Imperial cricket conference.
f 'T beljove something mav be done by altering the lows the of g n mo so as txi bring .cricket, ha yk to the tp’e prevailed ip the past,’’
