The newly-elected of Tauranga, Mr A. F. Tunks, wa:s installed in office last week end was invested with the mayoral chain recently purchased by the council. The chain is of handsome design, comprising 20- links with -a. medallion as the Centre piece. The cost of the links hag been subscribed by ex-Mayors of the borough who are still living, or by the relatives of others who are dead. The names of past Mayors are inscribed on the chain.
