MR NELSON ARRIVES AT APIA.

(Receivde this day at 11.5 a.m.) APIA-; May IG. • M, O. F. Nelson and family arrived at 8.30 a.m. to-day. Two motor launches brought his party, and five Mail chiefs who went over to meet them from Pago Pago. Tlie launches were met in the roadstead by one motor launch, three fautasi, and two row boats: Approximately fifteen hundred Man women were assembled on the foreshore. No male members of the Man were there to meet him. The official staff of 0. F. Nelson and Coy., Ltd., met him at the end of the wharf, after which lie walked through lines of women who raised a cheer for Taisi as he passed. There'was no active demonstration, and the reception passed off very quietly.
A Samoan welcome is being given this afternoon at Vaimoso village. Mr G. E. L. Westbrook also returned.
Mr E. W. Gurr was taken to bos pita! at Pago Pago seriously ill.
