MAN DROWNED IN WANGANUI

WANGANUI, May 16.

While on his way down the Wanganui River in a canoe to join his wife and children in Wanganui, to go on annual holidays, Mr Daniel Clark, manager of Oburaiti 'Station at Kawata, was drowned, near Pipiriki this morning. The canoe i n which Clark and a companion, R-. Bowell, were travelling, capsized in the > Ngaparo rapids.
