found Hanging in kitchen

DUNEDIN, May 15.

An elderly woman, named Mary Wilson Cottle' was found dead at her residence at 9, Moat Street, on Saturday afternoon. She had hanged herself in the kitchen of her house, according to evidence brought out at the inquest conducted by Mr Bartholomew, S.M., to-day. It was stated that the deceased' who wag over seventy, had been in bad health for some time. The verdict was that deceased committed suicide by hanging owing to her depressed state of mind do© to ill-health.
