The lecture which was to have been given by Colonel Taylor. in St. Andrew’s Hall on Wednesday evening ha® been cancelled owing' to his sudden ill- . ness. Mr Cox (Postmaster) in handing MrBell with a chepue presented by the staff, spoke of the officer’s sterling qualities: as a telegraph officer and also the manner in which he had at all times conducted himself.
