There was a large gathering at the Waitaki Schools’ jubilee dinner at the Royal Empire Society. The speakers included Admiral Halsey, Mr Leopold Amery, Sir Edward Grlgg and Sir Thomas Wilfortl. The Master of Sempill read messages of congratulations and good wishes from the 7rince of Wales,
roc Ring his visit to the school in 1920, and from the Duke of York, mentioning !iis visit in 1927.
