DRUG IN CIGARETTE
THEFT OF GOLD WATCH. THEORY OF THE VICTIM. Mr Joseph Clecson, an accountant of Carlton, .Melbourne, who was robbed cf a gold watch by three men on a: recent night, lias told the police that,he believes lie was drugged with a gift cigarette.
It was stated by Mr Gleeson that .one of three young men in a street asked him for a match. He gaye-him one and was offered a. cigarette in return. He lit the cigarette and walked along the street with the men. He finished the cigarette and threw.the end away. He could not remember what happened then until he found-him,-gelf in a lane. The throe men were still with him. One was trying to„ take his watch. He struggled and waslcicked. The men got the watch ant}; ran into a house. Although Ho had., a purse with £4 IS 3 in it, the men did not search him.
