TRAIN DERAILED
IN COLLISION WITH LORRY. (Per Press Association Copyright.) .'ob it ASHBURTON, April 28. MR Striking & lorry laden with grain at a crossing near' Ealing at 7 p.m. yesterday, th e engine of the passenger train from Tima-ni to Ashburton was •derailed, and the lorry wrecked. Little damage was done -to the engine or to the permanent way. The o wne r of the lorry, Mr J. C. Guinness, and a companion jumped clear. No carriages were derailed, and the twenty passengers escaped with a shaking. A relief train brought them to ijlhburton two hours later. The engine was replaced on the. line after thre e hours.
