The search tor tiie missing trampers continues. A party returned this morning from lluamahaiiga in an effort to locate smoke seen the previous day, but failed. Another party is setting out for the same locality. It is believed the smoke came from a shooter’s camp, as a shot was heard this morning.
The rain lias re-commenced, and the ranges are again obscured in clouds. \Vhen the weather clears, Wellington Aero Club’s Waco machine will search the Tararuas the four missing trampers.
Another search party will leave tonight
Wireless advices to-day state that it is blowing hard on the mountain tops,
