THREE ESCAPEES
FROM WAIKUNK PRISON CAMP
WARDER THREATENED BY MEN

AUCKLAND, April 23
? Three prisoners escaped from the ]Waikhue' sub-prison camp,’ - 16 miles '•couth of Tu.rn.ngj, at 9 o'clock on Friday morning. The escapees tare: Eugene Charles Dominie McCarthy, aged fis, serving a' sentence of three years ; Basil Hodgson, aged 26, serving a sentence of two years; Vincent Harney Reardon, aged 30 ' serving a sentence •of two' years.
