When war broke out Boissonard was living at Detroit, where he had been domiciled for four years. He immediately went to Canada and enlisted in the Toth. Battalion of t'.ie Canadian Infantry in 1914. When his mobilisation order for the Twenty-fourth French Infantry Regiment wins sent to him in iSeptem-• her, 1915, he never received it, as he wa, s fighting in the Canadian army. He only became aware last autumn that he was posted ns evading servine in the French army during the war, and came immediately to Franco to face the charges. He has a sinter and brother living at Detroit.
