An abrupt note, was handed to the Japanese ambassador, citing the' .recent incidents on the Chinese eastern railway were prejudicial to Soviet interests, and asking for a speedy reply, guaranteeing that efficient - measures will be taken to safeguard Soviet rights.
The note complains of the Manchukuo. authorities’ seizure of railway property, robbery, murder, kidnapping and torture of Russians employed thereon, and the failure to pay transport of Japanese soldiers.
