OFFICE THEFT

THE SUM OF £42 TAKEN

TE KUITI, April 5

The premises of the Aard service car office in Rora Street were broken into last evening and the sum of £42 in notes was removed from the safet.

The theft took place in the eiarly evening,- and it would appear that the movements of the .staff had been carefully watched during an • interval of about 15 minutes when no one was in the office that the theft was committed. The back door wag afterwards found wide open and the safe had been moved from its usual place.
