"What appears to have been a murder and suicide pact was discovered at the Sacred Hill in Madras. Six bodies'were found on - a raised mound. A seventh body, that of a middleaged .Indian, was found hanging from a tree. A letter on this body indicated the man was:n native of Trmhinopoly, that his family were destitute, and unhappy, and that he had decided to kill his wife, two sons, two daughters and baby before, committing suicide.
