CIRCULATION INI..GREECE. ATHENS, February! 22. The police authorities here have arrested a man who is alleged to be one of the principal members <yf a gang circulating forged Bank of England notes. The forgeries, which are of £l, £o, £“(), and £IOO notes, are so good, that the arrested man even cashed one of the. £IOO notes at the Bank of Greece. When t!iis note was sent to the Bank of England along with genuine banknotes, it was detected and returned to the Bank of Greece. The man was obliged to give his address when he presented the note at, the Bank of Greece. 110 was therfore asked to-dav to name the persons from whom he received this note. As he refused to do so, and said, that he had found tliei note in the street, lie was arrested. It is hoped that the whole ga ng circulating the forged notes will be discovered.
