■Mr >O. M. McDonald, chairman of th e Northern Collieries Association and president o'f the. Employers’ Federation of 'New, South Wales, said that there was definite evidence, each day, of an improvement in the position of the major industries of the State, including coal-mining. - The improvement was indicated .not only by the . report by members of the employers’ federation, but by increased advertisements in the newspapers.
