Herbert Hey wood, maijried, aged 49, described as a barman, was fount! hanging from the rafters m the washhouse 'at the back of his. home, 5, Port Hills Road, St. Martins, on Sunday morning. AY hen found bo liac. his throat cut. and was •dead.
DROWNING NEAR BLENHEIM. BLENHEIM, April 4. The body of William Henry Maskill, a resident of Blenheim, wa s to-day recovered from the Opava River. Maskill left his home after breakfast yesterday. He lyas not seen again by his family, though lie was conversing with a friend close to where the body «-«•- recovered in the afternoon. The deceased’s bicycle was found on the river bank. A curious circumstance is that lie thrust his spectacles into a slit in the scat of the machine.
