MISHAP IN NAPIER HARBOUR

The .fishing trawler pilot, owned by Mr I’icone, is expected t 0 become a total wreck, as. the result, of running aground on the western pier, head, at Port Ahuriri, ■ shortly, aftcy 4.30 o’clock this afternoon.
The ; vessel was rendering , assistance to -another. Crawler, also owned by. Mr Pico lie, which had grounded on a mudbank just .inside the inner harbmu entrance. While the pilot was towing this vervSO’. off. it fell foul of a number of piles at the end of the pier, which pierced file and ,s 0 damaged her that she is expected to become a total loss.
The other trawler, which .anflpred only .slight damage wa>s rendered assifitanfefe by one of Richardson and Coy’s j tugs, and subsequently "berthed at lief usual moorings.
