LONDON, April 1

The Oxford-Cambi’idge boat race was rowed to-day. Cambridge University crew won by two and a quarter long s. Tiheir time was twenty minutes fiftyseven seconds. _ . • The fajt of Cambridge winmng the toes enabled them to row the short, er course and this was a, large factor in their (victory. The crews were both moderate. The time was klow, despite there being generally favour, able conditions. Oxford led by half a length for the first rnile. Cambridge had the advantage at the bend by th e greater part of a length. They then forged anead and won easily, though the Oxford crew rowed the best race that an Oxford one 'hr 6 rowed for ten years past. Cambridge has set a -record with ten (successive wins. It is estimated that the attendance approached a million, the riverbanks being crowded for th© whole of the four-mile course.
