ROBBERS CHASED
MONEY STOLEN AT ROTORUA

ROTORUA, March 28
A dramatic chase took place here early this morning, when a boarder in the Kai Ora private hotel, was roused by the sound of an intruder, and, with the night porter, gave chase to two men, who bolted, along the passage. The men climbed the. ..back fence, but when the porter onughtmus by the leg, he struck out with his fist, and escaped in the dusk of the early dawn. It was later discovered that the sum of £l2 in money had been stolen from clothes in one of the bedrooms, and that £2 had been stolen in a similar manner from a neighbouring boardinghouse, the St. Elmo. The police are inquiring.
