ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA

To Australia in seven days and a record return journey is the aim of the youthful Italian airman, Captain Leon ida Robbiano, who started on the flight last week, hut was forced to return to Croydon.
Capfdn Robbiano will make his attempt on the record because he considers the Australian route and distance to bo the most strenuous test for his plane which he believes to* he perfect. It is an Anglo-Italian combination, having a Breda body and a Gl:sy 111. engine.
The airman is tall and dark, and is described as the most handsome officer in the Italian Air Force. He is one of the tlir.ee best 'ltalian aces, the others being Lombardi and Count M'aizi rtti, with whom recently Robbinno was associated in long-distance flying. All are rich, and are devoting part of their wealth, to the development of Italian aviation. Ca iota in Robbinno’s destination is Danvin, but lie will refuel at Dari, AI.--OPO, Basra, Kae-chi. Calcutta, Victoria Point. Singapore .and Buna. Ho will visit Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.
